Fire crews were still at the scene damping down a blaze at Lower Berse Farm, the site of this year's National Eisteddfod, 24 hours after it broke out. A North Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said of the scene off Ruthin Road, Wrexham: "Firefighters were at a farm on Wrexham Road, Wrexham throughout the night damping down." One worker on the Wrexham Technology Park more than half a mile away added: "You can smell the smoke from here — it is pungent."

WinTA Enterprise can store up to 2000 employees on a single Time & Attendance clock, which is used in a fire or evacuation scenario to register employees' presence onsite. The fire roll call software will automatically generate a report in the event of a fire or other emergency, to be checked at the evacuation point.
