Plans revealed for Flintshire business park expansion

Plans for expanding the Hawarden Business Park in Flintshire have been put forward, and it is hoped that their approval could boost the economic prosperity of the area and create jobs, a recent news report in the local media has been able to suggest.

A formal pre-application consultation for the development of the site was carried out in August 2020, with a second undertaken in November and December.

Details were revealed at the time but now a planning application has formally been submitted to Flintshire County Council, with more light being shed on the proposals.

Lined up are a trio of units, with space earmarked for a further three in the future.

The initial facilities would cover 59,675 sq ft, with the overall development comprising 145,000 sq ft.

The site is allocated for employment use within the Flintshire Unitary Development Plan and is also proposed for employment use in the emerging Flintshire Local Development Plan.

The planning statement drawn up by Cadnant Planning noted that the scheme would have “significant positive economic impacts” on both the existing business park and the wider Flintshire area.

It would also result in jobs being created.

Time and Attendance Wales – Your Workforce Management Experts

Additional workforce is a sign of success and growth for all businesses, but it can cause problems for HR, accounts and admin job tasks if not managed properly. For example, if your company still uses paper timesheets filled in weekly or monthly to work out attendance and wages, a sudden influx of more staff can add hours to a workload.

A workforce management system from Time and Attendance South West would bring your attendance systems up to date and reduce workloads considerably.

For example, managers would no longer need to approve every single timesheet every single week or month, and accounts staff would no longer need to laboriously type up the timesheets to enter them into the payroll system.
All the staff would need to do is clock in and out using one of our terminals, with either a smartcard or a biometric measurement (fingers or hands). This data is collected in our time and attendance software, and it can be exported straight to common payroll systems such as Sagepay.

Another useful function of our time and attendance system is an automated fire roll call. Currently you might be reading names with difficulty from a handwritten sign in sheet, which can be misplaced. With our system , you can be hooked up to your fire alarm. When it goes off it will automatically print a list of everyone who is currently clocked into the building.
