Complex payment schemes possible with payroll software
Former Gwent officer Ian Johnston, now president of the Police Superintendents’ Association, said police jobs will go following nationwide budget slashing. The Chief Inspector Sir Denis O’Connor said changing shift patterns and more collaboration between forces was needed to redesign officers’ working practices in order to save 12%. However, Mr Johnston, an ex-Gwent Police superintendent, believes that frontline services would be hit with cuts lower than 12%. He told BBC Radio Wales: "You can’t take 12% out of any equation when 83% of your budget is on personnel, I think that, yes, we will be losing police officers."
Greater efficiency on a tight budget can be possible thanks to time and money saved with a Time and Attendance Wales clocking system based on smart card technology. The contactless cards allow your employees to clock in and out extremely quickly, and this information can be exported in many forms to allow integration with existing payroll software. Additional features are available, including Shift Premiums, where complex payment schemes can be used, based on factors such as the time of working to the grade of employee.
