Clocking regime allows calculation of overtime on a weekly or monthly basis
Welsh Local Government Association leader John Davies said an agreement between councils and trade unions represented “a significant achievement in terms of dealing with public expenditure cuts in Wales”. All of Wales’ councils have signed a voluntary deal on issues like overtime with unions to work on managing the impact of public spending cuts on jobs and services. It was done to avoid the situation at Rhondda Cynon Taf Council, which has clashed with union members over a £5.5m funding gap.
Time and Attendance Wales clocking systems allow your organisation to create a wide range of daily working patterns (shifts), with either fixed or flexitime rules, so there can be no disputes over working conditions. Overtime is easily monitored with up to four different pay bands in each shift. The Periodic Overtime function is used to calculate overtime on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis. Groups are used to define sequences of shift patterns. Rolling Groups repeat a block of shift patterns. The block can contain any number of days or weeks.
