Smart card technology eliminates practice of buddy clocking
A raid by the UK Border Agency discovered men found working illegally in a Caernarfon abbatoir. The men, from Pakistan and South Africa, were discovered at Sher Foods on the Cibyn Industrial estate in Caernarfon, Gwynedd. David Griffiths, head of the UK Border Agency’s north Wales local immigration team, said more operations to tackle immigration offenders were planned. "Illegal working has a serious impact on communities, taking jobs from those who are genuinely allowed to work," he said.
Total control of your workforce’s clocking in details and hours is possible with a Time and Attendance Wales system. A complete smart card system is available including a T32xx Smart Card clocking station and 25 smart cards. The large fluorescent display of the T32xx makes it easy to confirm your clockings and check flexi-time hours. Clocking in and out is simple – just hold the badge for a moment in front of the T32xx and it reads automatically. The Tensor smart cards use modern technology to eliminate the practice of ‘buddy clocking’.
