Payroll clocking system reduces management costs

A radical plan to restructure the NHS and shave a chunk off its huge bill sees the end of primary care trusts. Much of the PCTs’ commissioning work is instead expected to be contracted out by doctors to private health firms, such as Bupa, Capita and a host of USA-owned organisations. Health Secretary Andrew Lansley said the changes involved “shifting power decisively towards patients and clinicians” by getting rid of Labour’s “top-down management hierarchy.” Mr Lansley added in the House of Commons: “We will re-balance the NHS, reducing management costs, abolishing quangos that do not need to exist.”

Time and Attendance Wales will make efficiencies on payroll with its smart card clocking system which is faster than manual card based systems, thus reducing costs for companies. The software can be set to automatically print out any of the user defined or standard reports on a daily, weekly or even a monthly basis. This is accomplished by using the Timed Report File update program. This makes available information that would normally take hours or even days to produce with older manual card based systems or older DOS based computers.
